Int Studies - Studying Abroad NOT compulsory ?? (1 Viewer)

While I know there's already a sticky post for this, I'm not sure if people will check this in time for the UAC preferences deadline...

So I'm overseas right now and got some friends to call the Uni about the degree and it's overseas component. Turns out that two of my friends that called told me that studying abroad isn't compuslory, although is "encouraged".

Anyone wanna clarify this? And what do students who stay in Sydney do when others are studying overseas??

Answers anyone? I'm so desperate to know right now before the preference deadline on the 4th!

The 2006 handbook doesn't say that it's compulsory. Just that you're encouraged to study a language/study overseas or complete an internship in public policy and affairs (govt3558).
