I've been going at this question for a while but I still can't work it out. Tried several things too. Any assistance would be appreciated:

This is a 4u question simply by virtue of the substitution not being provided.

Use the substitution x=3sin@.

It becomes: Int cot^2(@)d@
Which is Int (cosec^2(@)-1)d@, however recall that the derivative of cot@ is -cosec^2(@), thus the answer is: -cot@-@+C
