Just generally....

-would it be better to transfer to a similar course between different unis?

or

-to transfer to a similar course within the same uni?

when I say "better" I mean better chance of having a successful transfer

some ppl have raised this in other threads but I just want it cleared up

I don't know about other unis, but uws you only need a credit average to transfer - i guess this is the case with most other unis - uws is a guaranteed transfer which would mean its easier than an inter uni transfer.

Depends what course.

UNSW is notorious for being strict with internal transfers (ie, most faculties don't have that sort of thing). So basically you'd have to apply through UAC.

You cant say if going to one uni would get you a better chance of transferring over going to another, so my suggestion is study something similar at THAT uni, because you'll have better chances to gain credit for subjects you've done
