Hey all! so i decided id try and reformat my laptop myself! all was good until i realised i dont know how to establish the internet connection! We have a main computer which contains the modem/router which is all in one and the laptop usually runs on a wireless connection. I was wondering if anyone would be able to provide me with some clear instructions as to how to restablish the connection please?!

Get the proxy address and the port from the main and put it in, under 'internet connections'.

Loool.

You're an idiot.

Alright, mabye that was harsh, but yeah. The settings should be pre-configured into your router, but if its an internal one then you type in the ip adress, subnet mask, dns server, etc.

However, where i'm not sure, i use wired. Fastest. More reliable. Don't use wireless so i could be wrong.
