internet disconnection (1 Viewer)

I'm on dial up so can anyone tell me how to get my internet disconnected when someone is calling in? I remember theres a feature or something thx

It's call waiting. When the phone rings it will disconnect you. Turn it off and you should be set.

shouldnt it be on cause its meant to be disconnected so i dont miss any calls

Call waiting alerts you if another line is calling, while you are already engaged. In the case of calling while it's on the Internet, it will disconnect you. It's a bit of a compromise. Your phone will be engaged while you're on the Internet, but you won't be disconnected. Or vica versa.

Dial #43# and it will turn it off.

It disconnects you but you still don't get to pick up...unless they call you again.
