Hey fellow chemistry sufferers,

How have these inventions "affected the level of pollutants in the atmosphere since the industrial revolution."


  • The automobile
  • Catalytic converters
  • Power generation

Its fairly obvious that the 1st and 3rd points have had an adverse affect on the air quality, where as cat' converter have been a good addition.

Though this is not a question that can (or should) be answered here.

Don't try to 'research' this, more just use common sense and your own general knowledge and understanding.

The first 2 points should be in your text book (under chemical monitoring and management). Power generation uses fossil fuels to run turbines, and as a result pollutants are released into the air.
