Hi guys,

Long time no post...

Anyway had a question: In cambridge there are examples of graphing of sin^-1(cosx) and cos^-1(cosx) etc...

I looked in the syllabus and those types of examples are not present - nor have I seen any such question in the HSC.

Do we need to know these? Half yearly in 2 days so an answer would be appreciated!

They were asked in my school exams.

School exams can basically ask anything covered at school. So if you have covered this beforehand, it CAN be in your test.

They're not too difficult anyway, just manipulate it (using right angled triangles) such that you have inverse cos of cos, or inverse sine of sine etc, then sketch the function of x WITH the restrictions and conditions imposed upon it by the inverse sine/cos functions.
