hey!
I want to do investment banking and im doing a B com / B eco in unsw.. can you be an investmen banker??? Is it better if you get a financial services job and do it full time and uni part time??? wWill you have a better chance in getting in??

Doing uni full time for the 3/4 years is probably better... IB's take grads from many degrees, including engineering, commerce etc.
Having connections will improve your chances of becoming an Ibanker too!

Yeah, you're not going to start straight off at IB, unless they're 100% sure you're the best.

As in straight out of uni?
You don't have to be the best, just very good.
There are alot of investment banks out there, that take in alot of people every year. It would be unreasonable to assume they all get the best.

Yea you may be better academically but it really comes down to whether you nail the interview or not.
