I've heard that phrase and/or variations of it being thrown around in the past couple of years. I've never questioned it though.

But I've been thinking in the past few days - is it mere urban legend regarding IP lawyers' allegedly superior pay packets or is there truth in these rumours? What is it about the IP field that deserves such rumours?

Not sure how well that compares to other area averages or how accurate it is, but should give you a vague idea. Doesn't seem anything special to me.

Thanks for that. The numbers don't look extraordinary to me. I wonder what it is about the IP myth then....
