Is international studies worth it? (1 Viewer)

Currently I've received an offer to study law/international studies at UTS in 2014 but I've started to doubt the practicality of the int. studies degree.

Is is essentially an excuse to study abroad and learn another language and is very focused on the country?
If so, would it be better to maybe try and get into social inquiry or cultural studies?

your description is spot on. if you are interested in learning another language and want to travel there for a year than do international studies. of the 8 subjects in that field, 4 of them would be language classes while the other 4 will be cultural classes.
