I seem to see that it is quite essential to do good in english to get a good UAI.

correct me if i am wrong.
For all the >90's in our school their english results were all like > 82

for advanced.

now if your english is like 70, then i think that will be quite severe.


am i correct/wrong?

I had friends who did Standard (Band-4) and they managed well over 90. It depends on your other subjects (and school).

i did std band 4, and managed 97.95 .... but i cant help wondering what my uai wudve been had i done adv instead ....

Although I might question the choice of course, the main thing is you got in. So English really didn't make such a difference in the end. :p

actl at maqc was less than 97.95 ... its not like i wasnt good enough for it. i just decided to choose a better uni ... overall .... now dont go on (in this thread too) abt how actl at maqc is better. macq doesnt offer seng :p

But with that UAI you wouldn't even qualify for a double degee in ACST at MQ, so there! :p
