I know this might sound stupid, but is it possible that SAM can be off by 8?
For e.g. SAM predicted 82 but u got 90 for ur UAI.
Is that possible or am i just talking non-sense??

Cause i read some discussion from the last Year 12's and majority of them said that SAM was off by 0.05 and 1.05 the most.

If you input the right kind of marks (eg. aligned HSC marks rather than trial or half-yearly marks) then it's extremely unlikely that SAM would be that inaccurate.

It's possible for the lower UAI like 60-70 and if you are doing subjects with a low candidature...like... I don't know... indonesian?
