to get something (or in my case about 2 gig worht of things) that have been Ctrl+D'd back?

I was just meaning to wipe my flash drive that had eveything I wanted svaed before my computer was wiped after I reloaded it on the computer after it has been reset and I managed to delete the files as well on the hd....

Recycle bin? Or do you mean shift-d?

If you've shift-d stuff, turn off the computer immediately and don't touch it. Take out the hard drive and install it into a another computer. Then use un-delete software to recover the deleted data.
