Question: Find the surface area of the pyramid below correct to 1 decimal place.



SA bottom = 18 x 15 = 270 m^2
SA front +back = (0.5 x 18 x root 156.25) x2
SA RHS +LHS = (0.5 x 15 x root 181) x2

Total SA = 698.6 m^2

SA RHS +LHS = (0.5 x 15 x root 156.25) x2 = 187.5 m^2

Total SA = 462.7 m^2

18 x 15 ≠ 33 m^2
