Is private school a good idea? (1 Viewer)

i go to a pretty okay school, my cohort is quite good yet all the smart people i know are leaving for IB, private, selective, etc. there's quite a few private schools near me, that are in the top 50s (only a bit higher than my current school). is it a good idea to switch going into year 11 or should I stay in the school i'm in rn? i'm worried about assimilating to the new school environment (though i do know people in the school i'm leaning towards) and not getting the hsc subjects i want.

there’s nothing wrong with sticking with your current school as long as you’re happy, it’s possible to do very well at any school if you’re motivated enough and changing schools this late can be pretty rough
