I'm planning to do Hospitality Management at Ryde.. My friend said that you'd only get rejected if the course was full, but the application form makes it sound complicated (with all the previous and life experience etc.), so anyway I was wondering is it hard to get into? Is all the experience stuff really that important?

TAFE generally doesn't have a high standard that you must meet to get in - most of those things in the applications are simply how they rank you if they happen to have more applicants than they have places. This of course does not include courses requiring portfolios for entry however to my knowledge, your proposed course does not require this so it should not be immensely difficult for you to get in.
