some uni write B Arts/ B com
while others write B com/ B Arts

is there a distinct difference between them?

I want to do B com/B Arts and it goes for 4 years, but then if I do B Com alone it will last 3 years...so what do we learn in the extra year??

Does this mean we learn more indepth in B com then in B com/ B art???????

I'm so confused...please someone help me out b4 Jan 5...

same thing jus reversed....

if u do a double degree u r specialising in both so there r no drawbacks jus alot of xtra work than if u were doing only 1 degree....

if u dont like the workload u can always drop it

4 years? I though BCom/BA was 5 years...

anyway, there isnt any "extra workload" as such..its just ur degree goes for longer - its the same amount of work as if u did BCom then did a BArts seperately (but the Arts component isnt a "full" arts degree, in the sense that u do less credit points for arts when it is combined with commerce)

that prolly sounded too confusing....

i think B arts/ B com means ur technically an arts student, and B com/ B arts, means ur a commerce student? i dunno...don't quote me

i thought the only difference between them was which faculty handled your enrolment and other matters, ie B. Arts/ B. Commerce at usyd is handled by the ARTS FACULTY!!

This is the only difference. B.A/B.Com means that the arts faculty are the ones that handles your enrolment throughout your degree. They are practically the same course. I'm doing a B.A.,B.COM and i did more commerce subjects this year.

hmm at UNSW, its the Commerce faculty that is ur "home" faculty
also..the combined degree has more commerce units (132CP) than arts (only 108CP)

u can do them in any order either way...
so long as they dont have prerequisites
