Is there such thing as uni syllabus, like HSC syllabus??

How do you know what you need to learn? for example, BIOS1201 or MATH1031.....

Yes......but its rather more like a "course outline". You'll know them when you start the subject. Since the lecturer in charge sets your exam, he/she will be free to change material (if its not disruptive) and hence the exam.

Well, the topics you learn are in the Course Outline they give u in the 1st lecture..but other than that, there's no real syllabus as detailed as the HSC

hmm...can you give me an example of a "dot point"?? I would really like to know how simple is the course outline.

well i think the course outline is basically the stuff u read in the handbooks- thats all....its a very broad thing i'm guessing.

Well not thaaat broad. It really depends how much effort they put into making the course outline

Some are very specific saying what week you'll be doing what topics. I've never seen anything as detailed as HSC dot points - only topic headings at best.

well, its better to have it specific- so we know whats exaclty to study and stuff!
