is this a good idea for a bow (1 Viewer)

hey jus wondering

does abstracted minimalism in landscapes a good idea or does it suck for a BOW cause it bores the crap out of me except i've only got a limited amount of time

A guy at my school last year did a series of panels like this.

They were abstract paintings, very texture based (you should have seen the amount of Impasto he went through!) They were meant to be like aeriel views of the landscape.... so they were all pretty abstract. Very based around colour, form and texture. (They weren't minimalist though - Minimalism generally applies to works with a strong emphasise on line and shape. They are usually very smooth and sleek - not so textured)

He did well. He got a band 6 and was short listed for ArtExpress.

Although if it bores the crap out of you.... do you really think it's wise to do it? Are you sure there isn't something else you have some interest in that you'd be able to do on time....?
