I have been calculating my required mark for transferring next year just to see what I need to do. My UAI last year was 68.70 and looking at the Main Round Offers UAI from UAC for 2005, I need 86.05 for a similar course at another University.

The other University's requirements are based on three things:

1) Personal Statement and Interview (70%)
2) Academic marks (30%)
3) Portfolio

Would I need to achieve an equilavent high UAI (86.05 or better?) and get a Distinction average?

Could you tell us what you're transferring to? I assume it's some sort of arty/musicy/designy subject?

What? You seem confused.

If you got a UAI of 85.05+, you would need a lower average to transfer, because your UAI is higher.

But since you got a UAI of 68.70, you'll need a higher average to transfer, because your UAI is lower.

When it says 'academic marks', I assume it's only referring to uni results?

Maybe when you're specific about the course, people who have un/successfully transfered can tell you about it.
