james cook uni reputation,,pls help!! (1 Viewer)

hi, i was recently looking at cut off marks for b laws/b business....very high...i live in far north coast nsw and was hoping to get to southern cross uni, but the scre is 93...

james cook uni in cairns however is only 71 for the same degree??? ...s

so i was wondering whY???/ do you know if they have a bad reputation or are a bad uni???? what have you heard baout their status....would going to this uni limit my job prospects???

No one want's to be stuck in a location, where there's hardly your race, at least in my case

i think there will be asians at every university...tho the korean 'yu hak seng' ur into are more likely to be at unsw or uts

It's a fine uni, it's just that the entry requirements are low due to low demand for the fact that its in Cairns. Employment opportunities are still pretty much the same, I know a girl who's graduating this year from JCU and has got a job lined up at a major accounting firm and earning quite a bit of moolah to boot.

Depending on your majors, careers can differ quite a bit, because marketing and business management aren't exactly the same thing are they.... hope that helps.
