Sounds interesting...what are you planning on doing it on?
A good point for her is the whole idea of her being a whore queen because of references of her wearing make up etc...however many people say that that by no means should brand her in that way as it was a commin practice (especially for a queen) to wear make up...

hey, sorry it's been a while since replies- i was planning to take that whole angle of the 'whore queen', i think i'll look at the biblical perception of her and how and why that was shaped, and then how she's been depicted in sources because of the legacy. I got a few fantastic books for it, now i'm trying to get hold of a few films- having trouble with The Sins of Jezebel, I think I'm going to try Amazon or something...

If you talk about the biblical narrative of kings 1 and 2 and possibly chronicles? (I'm sure thats where she is mentioned:p) you would have talk about the chroniclers purpose for writing - namely, to tell the events with the focus of Yaweh and his people (the two tribes/kingdoms struggle with baal worship/polytheism and the fertility cults). For example, there was some great king who did so much for the kingdom under his reign, however he was only giving 6 verses and was described as a detestable character. And don't ignore the cultural context of the time because the whore queen isn't actually painted in the bible but references from the bible were taken out of context by later writers.
