Applying for jobs is nothing new for me however the oppurtunity has arisen to apply for a high level position, so I'm abit unsure whats wanted.

Anyone have any ideas what EB Games would be looking for in an assistant manager?

My inclination was to push:
Experience organising and participating in LAN parties,
Experience in retail, especially where a high value is palced on personal and store presentation.
Experience building PCs, troubleshooting etc.

Is it to foreward to include business ideas?

bit off topic but
if you are applying for a job based on a small computer store for example and you state you helped set up a lan i have no idea how the employer may react

the younger generation problay view it as a good skill (he/she may of been at one) where as the older one might view lans as an immature sort of thing

i helped set up a few 100-200 people lan back a few years ago andi can tell you its definently not easy

EB Games is a chain of video game boutique stores.

I know how hard organising and running LANs are. Aside from the technological issues you have to keep evryone happy for 14 hours.
