Job Prospects for Actuarial Science (1 Viewer)

Hey yall,
I'm considering doing a bachelor of actuarial studies, but many have told me it's very hard to find jobs with it. Is this true ? It's clearly suited for insurance companies but is it also useful for other areas of work (just in case that fails) ?

Job is always going to be hard to find for majority of business related areas simply due to competition.

As long as you maintain solid grades and a health mix of extra-curriculars to develop solid set of skills such as communication and team work, you're chances of finding a job is pretty good. Insurance companies are the main area actuaries go into, but many choose to take their highly regarded quantitative skills to banking, risk management and data analytics.
