Anyone doing this course and what was your uai?

I spoke to the woman at the advisory day and it sounded really interesting and I was just wondering if anyone else put it down as a preference. I was surprised when she said they only accept 8-9 people each year.

Accepting 8-9 people into a particular course is not very suprising. There are courses such as the BScIT/LLB (Law) where they accept only around 3 people each year, which is less than this combined degree. If you have a UAI of 99.0 you will mostly likely get it, lol. They don't accept many people into law degrees, hence the low quota and high UAI. Its a government thing, they don't want too many lawyers, lol.

It usually doesn't mean you'll be stuck with the same 8-9 people so don't worry, lol. Some of your first year subjects are probably common with the other communication courses, and you will be with them doing those subjects. Students from other faculties also take communication subjects as electives.
