hi guys,
we're doing an assessment about communal experience and their impact on ethics/morality.
i'm doing how the formation of israel affected Judaism's view of ethics and morals.
is anyone else doing a topic like this??
anyway, i've got some ethical issues that the formation of israel raised, but the problem is the huge diversity between opinions. e.g.:
attitudes to violence
Messianic prophecy - are they taking over the role of the coming Messiah?
is it necessary to go live in israel?
should the palestinian territories be handed back?
if anyone is doing a topic like this - do you have any references, websites, pronouncements made by rabbis, other issues you would like to tell me about? or if any Jews are reading this, what's your opinion?
