when do you go up a rep point when giving reps to people? like certain people are worth one rep point, two rep points..etc. etc.

i'm still worth one but someone else i know is worth two..i have more rep points but he has been on the site longer..but then others i know are worth three rep points and joined after me..

i want to give more hehe

i think points given = (number of boxes) + (1000's of posts)

I believe I give 7 in this case. I've seen others (such as the oldskool mods) give something like 10.

Theres also a faq on this somewhere.

How many points of Reputation can I give out?
When you have 50 posts or more, you can give one reputation point a day. You cannot rep the same person more than twice without giving more rep to other members.


How do I get more points to give out?
After receiving ten points of reputation you can give one more reputation point. When you have posted 1000 posts or more you can give one more reputation point.

nah u get a new green box for each 100 points of rep you recieve.
when you get 500 rep points you will get one green box.
to check how many rep points you have, try to rep yourself and it will tell you

just the amount of rep points you can give to other people

does i really matter how many rep points you have or can give? the rep system is more about showing your approval of helpful ppl, no-one really minds whether they get 1 or 4 rep points, its more that someone recognises your helpfullness. (and most ppl dont even need rep points to recoginse they have been helpful)
