Can someone who does speculative fiction gimme a small rundown on what you basically argue? i'm doing crime fiction and i'm fairly sure i'm prepped for it, but i read Dune a couple of weeks ago for fun and figured between that and the Lord of the Rings films/books i've done the minimum core texts required to do Speculative fiction.

(i won't do it in the exam, but i am curious)

Thanks!

you argue the same points as crime.. except about speculative fiction. Different conventions/values etc and different influences from context. But essentially.. its just an argument on that genre

Yeah, funny you should mention those texts cause I wrote mainly on The Handmaid's Tale, even though The Lord of the Rings is my favourite film of all time. :) I didn't use it at all.

I prefer to enjoy masterpieces rather than study them anyway. ;)
