So, I have a group interview at K-mart in a few hours. Most people in the previous threads seem to recommend black trousers/pants and a businessy type shirt, neither of which I have available at the moment.

Would it be fine (by fine I mean, I don't look ridiculously underdressed compared to everyone else), if I wear some nice jeans and a collared button up shirt?

For Kmart, long pants (or jeans etc) and a t shirt. If you go there is a suit and tie it would probably negatively affect your chance of getting hired. Conversely though if you showed up at a professional firm for a job interview you would then dress in a professional manner (shirt, tie, pants, shoes etc).
