Hey..

we have to do TWO productions of king lear and so far ive watched the one at bondi pavillion..

this teacher now tells me that "it was complete RUBBISH" -_-''

is he right? >_<

i mean king lear is supposedly the hardest option to do in module b, why do they
have to make it harder >=|

so then now what do we do -_-?

Well this production is less than gratifying, but frankly most of the productions are crap and this was the least crap of them last year, *that's* why the teachers are on this like rash, and why you should if you see any of them, see this one

I suggest that if you don't understand how Lear can be staged and spoken ie heroic verse and iambic pentameter(did i do that one right?lol) then seeing it live is worthwhile, but don't expect something that is a thrill which evidently too many people have done. I also would tell you that you are unlikely (unless you have either a keen memory or are quick at writing notes) to be able to remember enough to apply it directly as a specific production in your essays. I still think it is worth it to see it live, but please don't go expecting you will love the experience or that the actors will be hot-go only if you want to see how it might be performed live.

Dunno, but I'm going to see it tomorrow! Hope I don't hate it; a lot of people on here are bagging it out! :uhhuh: :eek:
