One key is what you want your audience, the responers, to walk away with at the conclusion of the play. What is it for you?

Don't need a detailed answer....just a few lines...

Also, if anyone can help...

Look at the opening scene of the play. List two ways it could be staged/blocked/played/directed, which differ according to your reading of the play.

Im thinking, family drama and.....................

for the 2nd Q:
political (ie, renaissance vs feudal (I'm pretty sure shakespeare supported the feudal due to certain "pressures" at the time of writing the play))?

Glouster bragging about "good sport at his making" (ren)
Lear splitting up the kingdom (ren)
Cordelia loyal to father (feud)
Kent loyal to the king (feud)
sisters plotting against the king (ren)

just do things like putting a cross(necklace) on cordelia, and emphasise some key quotes like kent saying he honours the king, high angle shots of the sister in shadow, etc....
