I say feminist.

You can discuss the misogynist(however you spell it) attitude towards women. how female sexuality is suppressed and viewed as vile and evil. etc

i agree, marxist and feminist are the easiest but u cant generalise. Eg. with a feminist view do not go with the line that "all men are bastards" and reagan and goneril are simply lashing out at the dominerring men in their lives. With a marxist reading u can say that lear's madness and downfall was caused by the power and greed that the ruling class possess ie. all of the upper classesare corrupted by their power. This can be backed up by the actions of the 'evil' daughters and also the change of opinion that lear goes through when he loses all his power. After being banished from gloucesters castle lear appears to become more caring for his subjects, there us a line like "my poor naked wretches i have abused you"

meh i hope i havent confused more...

my rank in english was 2/96 and i got a band 6, but im telling you dont take my words as gospel!
