hi everyone does anyone have any ideas on how to answer this question for 1/2 yearlys
'interpretations of texts can shift and change with time and place.'
Considering your time and place, reflect in ways in which context has shaped your critical interpretation of King Lear.
I was thinking of first writing about the reception to it in the Elizabethan time and how it could have caused disrupt after peace had just been restored. Then writing about King Lear in todays context and how some of it's themes are still relevant today which allow it to still be a successful piece then perhaps writing about either Eyres or Blessed version of it an commenting on their focuses- eg Blessed was christianity and Eyres was focused on the family tragedy.
Any ideas, help, info would be greatly appreciated!!
