In my exam bloc in 2 weeks i have a english speech to present with two other group members. We have to talk about certain scenes in king lear and talk about 2 different interpretations of it in 7 minutes. Has anyone done the same thing and could post up some tips to get good marks/or have copies of the speeches they have done and post them up.

Thanks

Thats quite similar to the exam question from last years HSC. Seriously - sit down, watch a few different productions (of the same scene not necesarily the whole production) and then decide what theme each production is trying to project and how they do it.

For example -

Peter Brooks production vs. Richard Eyre's production

Have a look at the first scene, how they are different and what the differences achieve.

It's best that you figure out what themes they are trying to portray yourself, because that way your answer will seem original (which in the 4th year of this unit being in the HSC, is very important).
