Ensure your lab coat fits comfortably and conforming to the correct size. Incorrectly sized lab coats are not permitted in laboratories at the University of Sydney. The hem must stretch to at least below your knees, no matter the pants you are wearing. Sleeves must cover the wrist but not extend beyond - they mustn't cover any part of your hand. A collar is a must, and your lab coat should have buttons extending the whole way down the front, but not covering the last 20 or so cm to allow for easy leg movement. Three pockets are generally required: One for pens on the left breast, and two on the torso.

where do we get them from at uni, how much are they, and when do we have to have them by??

this belongs in the science forum.......


lab coats are between 15-25 bucks, you can get them literally anywhere on campus - the co-op, newsagents, etc.
