hi again

help needed on this pt: discuss the safety issues associated with safe renerty into the earths atmosphere and landing on the surface

i get the saferty issues but have no info on landing

It is only about the safety issues. Basically: Hitting the ground at high speeds isn't good. Therefore there must be ways to slow the craft down. Overheating, transmission, weather and the like are the atmosphere.

You'll want to talk about the re-entry angle also.

The 'landing' part is just the type, like a "splash down in the pacific ocean" as of the older spacecrafts or "land on a runway" as of the space shuttle. The Russians for example, just let their craft to plunge into hard dirt (with a bit of parachute to slow them down).

Like Shael said, talk about the re-entry angle.

if its too shallow - you skip off the atmosphere and off into space

if its too deep - you burn up in the earth's atmosphere.
