It has recently come to my attention that language is a neat thing, or as Plato would say, "It has recently come to Iron's attention that language is a neat thing". See what I did there?. Isn't that grand? But words can be used for so many other things. Nothing tickles me more (wollen underpants aside) than wordsmithing. Fun Fun.
'But obviously man is a political animal in the sense in which a bee is not, or any other gregarious animal. Nature, as we say, does nothing without some purpose; and she has endowed man alone among the animals with the power of speech.'
-Aristotle, The Politics, Book I.
It's what sets us apart from them. Surely I (hang Aristotle) have scratched the surface of the ultimate meaning of life. Agree? Disagree? Sling mud?
