Hey

I'm currently enrolling at UNSW in a Enginerring and Science degree - with the aerospace plan. What I'm wondering right now is: Do I need/Would I benefit if I had a laptop with me with enough grunt to run the engineering software I'll be using. That will let me work on bits and pieces in the library or out at a cafe or something if I need to.

That all works in theory - But I'd like someone actually enrolled in the course to let me know if it'll actually help at all - or will it be more trouble then its worth?

I also know the Laptops and Uni question has been asked before - (once in the ANU forum which I accidentally posted in :D) - But I wanted to ask about my specific circumstances and couldn't find a thread in the UNSW section.

Thanks!

Its only UNIX work?

During my FEAS interview the guy seemed pretty keen on explaining their designing software. I guess it could have been unix based but I imagine it'd be pretty hard going to crank out these aerospace designs on a text-based output
