Just a question about section three. this is my layout

- intro
- stimulus
- prescribed1
- related text
- prescribed 2
- conclusion

I link each of the texts to the question after i talk about each of the texts. say for eg.

i talk about prescribed 1 (textual detail) than at the end i link it back to the question. is this good or should i be linking throughout the whole essay.

Your question isn't very clear; are you asking how often you should refer to the question itself (eg. 'the importance of the journeying process', 'how the journey increases our understanding of the world' etc)? If so, you should definitely make the connection throughout the essay, rather than at the end of each section. It's more fluent.

Do you always use that layout for essays? Call me old fashioned, but I always thought it went; intro, prescribed text, stimulus, related material, conclusion. You're writing about the stimulus first and splitting the prescribed?
