hey guys,

I'm currently facing a little dilemma about preferences for uni. I want to do commerce/law but i didnt get the marks to get into UNSW for law.
I was considering a transfer into second year but would you think it is worth all the pressure of a distinction to high distinction average if i can probably get into Macquarie Uni for commerce/law from first year?

i just need convincing arguments and advice into my problem
:)

full fee first yr... then transfer in2 hecs second yr at unsw... dont waste ne time... n 40% success rate... however theres teh drawback of 18720 bucks... so...
thers also choice 2 do commerce at unsw first yr then transfer 2 law 2nd yr like minai's doing...

yeh for choice 1, seems enticing but what would happen if i'm one of the 60% that dont make it?..can be risky

for choice 2, to get a distinction average can be hard and also risky :(

would you suggest if i did a transfer that with a UAI of 97.25 i might only need a distinction average?

would you feel that obtaining a distinction average would be hard?

Distinctions are easy to attain in your Commerce subjects, provided u do some work
however, distinctions in law are much harder..

Lazarus (admin here) got a similar UAI to u in 2001, and he got into UNSW law after 1 year of adv.science at USYD where he got just below a D average - because cutoffs rise every year, I'm guessing u'll need at least a D average with ur UAI

in commerce, if u do ur work, u'll get D's

is there some part of the UNSW website that mentions about transfers?

Also, if i did consider full fee for one year then transfer to HECs, would you consider them successful to do?
