I'd add me to that list.

By the way, i find it interesting that there's so many people on here that seem to be going to uws law.. since like it's the smallest law school of them all only taking around 100-200 people lol

This is a good thing, I guess we don't get crammed into lecture halls then. Well I guess anyone within the 90-95 UAI and that is interested in law would aim for UWS, since anything higher, they would be going to Macquarie, a few more points higher, it's UTS, then UNSW and then Usyd.

Macquarie isn't rated too well for their law..

at least that's what i saw on some government website about unsw law, i dunno if that's 1 year or everyone at unsw that's doing law.

yea because everyone wants to go to usyd.
That and.. i get the feeling they offer alot of late round offers, like they make the main round cut off heaps high so that it makes the course prestigious.

Macqu takes heaps for law ....like 300!

Asquithian is quite remarkable. He always seems to pop up ANYWHERE where Law or Law Schools are mentioned, even if they are hidden away. How does he do it.

that isnt just straight outa high school UAC people, which is why its so high - a lot of post grads, trasnfers, internationals too... plus unlike uws which doesnt offer full fee paying, they do and a lot of people take up that option rather than go to unsw or mac...

coz 2 b honest, mac uni's course from what i've heard is appalling - every barrister or legal firm i've talked to, been to, spoken to people who work for them say that they'd rather hire anyone but mac as they're course structure is crappy and the students (generally) dont know how to apply any of the knowledge they have....

plus mac uni failed its quality assessment last year..always a bonus :p

Not true - eg, i got 98.4 and had uws as my top 3 preferences because i was told that unless i was doing commerce law or politics law or arts law, i'd b better off at uws than anywhere pretty much (including unsw and usyd n uts) except ANU, which wasnt really an option despite the fact that i wanted to go there

employers, altho most people aren't aware, have a huge amount of respect for uws grads because of the way we are taught and the way our courses are structured, particularlay law..... which is why a lot of people i know have chosen uws as a no1 choicec despite gettin marks far above the cut offs...that and uws are regarded as having the best teachers which when you think about it, you're better to have excellent teachers and an average reputation than an excellent reputation and average teachers as a uni's name isnt solely gonan get you a job in the end
