the ones such as 'better homes and gardens' and 'Burkes Backyard' have always been popular, but these days I'm seeing a drastic increase in other types such as 'The Hot House', 'The Resort', 'Backyard Blitz' etc etc.

The property boom is over in Sydney now yet these shows are gaining popularity, and frankly its a little annoying...whats the reason for this sudden surge in popularity?

cuz similar types have proven to be a success in the states... hence the producers decide they should have it in aus... pluz a lot of pplz seem to b intersted in property.... hence the increasing popularity..

its the yuppies. our bourgeoning economy has caused sydney's population of funky young couples to grow exponentially, thus resulting in an increased demand for funky DIY programs.
