The height of a tree was 10 metres and it increased by 2m during the next year. If in each succeeding year the growth is 2/3 of that in the previous year, find the limiting height.

The answer is 16m.

I cant work it out.

S = 2 / (1-2/3) = 6

Then the height of the tree is 10m hence 6+10 = 16 m

S = (7/8)/(1-7/8) = 7
