Linking a 'turn point' in EotS to margret's Journey to the Interior? (1 Viewer)

Is there a turn point in the book that has any relevency to this poem? Because i think i remember reading somewhere in the book (empire of the sun) a line like "Jim laughed hysterically....he must not loose himself"
And if there is a passage in the book like this, it would be perfect to link it to margret's poem. Anyone know anything on this, or have any sugguest?
