our listening paper

o... listening...

i guess .. the content was easy altough i didn t get

what the twist was

and the questions were alright as well

im just bit concerned that if i can use same techniques .. for

different questions can i?

i used 'descriptive language' -'crusty old bloke'
adjectives-'open mouthed

is it alright?

i hope so

and also i think for the questions asking about the content

it really depends on the marking criteria and how marker marks it

so.. yeh..

was alrite

content is easy, but the question is hard

So bad in listening.

I didn't expect it is a short story in listening.

Although i understand the general idea of the content, but lost quite a lot detail.

I think the questions are much harder than last years HSC,

I doubt maybe I can't get over 8 marks~~~~

It is sort of okay, however, i still didnot get the meaning of the end of the story...

But my friends have already heard about this story before.... Too little reading before.....

That is alright. It leads your english to improve much quicker than esl ppl........Although the scaling is not as good as esl...........It is still good. I have a friend who immigrated to Australia in couple of years. She is still doing standard english.................Both Esl and Standard are similar.........so, no worries, you will be ok!

true.. standard is the same as ESL. the same standards are expected. the only difference is that ESL doesn't get compared with others while standard is compared with the advanced students too!!
its ok.. if your good in ur english then it shouldn't be a problem. i know someone who came top in the state and had been here for only 3 years !! replaced the places of those in advanced... so if ur confident with what you did its great.
some people do standard but they know nothing about english!
