My literary tastes incline towards 'Post-Nationalism'. While I am partial to varying nations, I have no definite favourite. Have been meaning to get into some Latin American authors, such as Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Jorge Luis Borges, but its a matter of finding the books..

I like a lot of books from a lot of different countries, and it IS hard to discriminate...

However, I do like a lot of the Victorian literature (I know, I know--the choice is conventional and predictable). While I do not really like American literature as a whole, I do adore Thornton Wilder and have just started to read Main Street by Sinclair Lewis (which I think Im liking) so I think they somewhat redeem American literature in my eyes.

Sarah, do you like Breakfast at Tiffany's??? The first time I saw the film, I absolutely loved it (I've always been an Audrey Hepburn fan) and so I read the book straight afterwards-- which served only to make me utterly hate the film because of how drastically they'd changed the plot (and thus the meaning).
