Hi ppl,

can anyone tell me how to solve this maths problem?

Find the equation of the parabola with coordinates of the vertex (0,0) and eqautoin of the axis x=0, and the passing through the point (-1, 7).

Vertex is (0,0) and axis is x=0, which puts it in the form x² = 4ay. Put in the point (-1,7) to find a, then you should be able to finish it off from there.

(-1)^2=28y?

You're looking for a, not y, so it would be 1 = 28a
