Hi, what would i write and how would i layout my answer to the following question if i wish to get full marks for it?

"The work of Scientists is influenced by external factors." Do you agree? Justify your answer by reference to the work of a scientist involved in the development of large-scale electricity distribution systems.

Have been given 1 whole page (HSC lines/spacing 1 page) and it is worth 7 marks.

Thanks in advance

I would agree with the statement (clearly they expect you to). For external factors, talk about how the system is going to have an effect on the environment and the safety of citizens. You could also elaborate on how the government's financial incentives motivated Westinghouse and Edison to produce low cost, efficient means of electrical distribution. This, along with society's growing need for the electricity (growth of population and industry), would have had a large influence on scientists. This resulted in the famous 'war of the currents' between the two sides of AC and DC distribution.*

These are just general ideas, I haven't done this question myself.
