Looking for gentle, fun Year 2 tutor – Riverstone / Quakers Hill (Jan start, F2F) (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a face-to-face tutor for my daughter, who is in Year 2 (turning 7). She’s currently behind in maths and writing based on school feedback, I’ll be honest – when I help with homework, my own “typical Indian parent” side can come out and I get frustrated too quickly, and I really don’t want her to have the same experience with learning that I did growing up. So the relationship and vibe matter more to me than marks right now.

I’m not looking for a trained teacher – more someone who’s:

• a uni student or senior high school student with some tutoring experience,
• patient, gentle and encouraging,
• able to help with English, writing, maths and general homework,
• someone she can genuinely look forward to seeing each week.
• capable of creating your own tasks, practice sheets and “homework” for her, based on whatever system or approach you like to use, rather than just supporting school homework.

We’re in Riverstone 2765 / Quakers Hill area and would require in person due to her age. We are also happy to come to you, or if you’re willing to travel to us, even better. I’m thinking about 2 hours per week, ideally as two 1-hour sessions (e.g. Monday and Wednesday around 5 pm), starting in January.
