Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a face-to-face tutor for my daughter, who is in Year 2 (turning 7). She’s currently behind in maths and writing based on school feedback, I’ll be honest – when I help with homework, my own “typical Indian parent” side can come out and I get frustrated too quickly, and I really don’t want her to have the same experience with learning that I did growing up. I’m not looking for a trained teacher – more someone who’s:
- a uni student or senior high school student with some tutoring experience,
- patient, gentle and encouraging,
- able to help with English, writing, maths and general homework,
- someone she can genuinely look forward to seeing each week.
- capable of creating your own tasks, practice sheets and “homework” for her, based on whatever system or approach you like to use, rather than just supporting school homework.
If you’re interested, please contact me through direct messaging with the following;
- your name and age/year level,
- any experience with primary school tutoring,
- your suburb and whether you can do home visits, and
- your rate and availability for Monday/Wednesday afternoons.
Azaan (Dad)
