So excited, just put my new pair of brown knee-high low-heel boots on layby! :D (on a side note, why is it that it's so hard to find a nice pair of knee-high boots under $150-$250?!?!) Goodbye boring monotony of jeans being worn with regular flats every day in winter!

Of course, now I need awesome winter skirts to wear them with.

Any suggestions/pictures? (don't worry about style, I'm sure there are other girls out there who are interested in winter skirts so the more variety we have the better!)

I love the shape of this skirt - a little different, but so versatile at the same time. I can imagine wearing it with an oversized sweater, or a long tweed cardigan in a bright colour, or hoisted higher on the waist cinched with a skinny belt and a simple tank tucked in, or with a pretty blouse, etc.

Also love for winter:

i bought a karen walker bubble skirt from cactus jam in QV and now i wear it everywhere...it was my first purchase from the greatest shop in Australia (IMHO) and took me 2 months to save up for it. but without a doubt my best purchase to date.

but i wear my boots with numerous op shop summer dresses too, although with the weather in melbourne at the moment i have to wear multiple layers, but at least im getting more wear out of them.
